Network impact management in migration of applications to the cloud
A world leader in industrial chemistry took the strategic decision to migrate its major applications to cloud environments. CNS was mandated to draw up the principles of the cloud architecture and respond to network performance and security issues during the transformation.
BACKGROUND
The group decided to port its applications, notably its ERP, to AWS and GCP. To do so, the customer recreated its infrastructure in the cloud and interconnected the two environments.
APPROACH
To guarantee the suitable deployment of infrastructures and a successful transition, CNS provided coordination between application teams and infrastructure teams, to define the rules and apply standards.
Using CNS consultant expertise, training on AWS infrastructures and their management was provided for internal users.
RESULTS
The migration was handled by anticipating the pre-requisites required, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and optimising the network and security infrastructures in the cloud environments.
